Pouch lamination process

Pouch lamination process is very simple. First of all we do preparation for feed into pouch laminator. We need below things for pouch lamination process.

Item is the object which is to be laminated. Pouch lamination is done on smaller objects like id cards, business cards and smaller menu cards. The heat sensitive laminating film joined at one side makes pouch. We keep item between the two layers of laminating film or we can say inside the pouch.

Heat activated surface should be in contact with the item and the other sides should be exposed. Since laminating films have a tendency to stick with rollers in heated condition, we use carrier to solve this. A carrier is a medium, which covers the pouch, and heat is transferred through this.

We should not choose carrier too thick otherwise heat transfer to laminating film may be inappropriate. We pass carrier via feed rollers and thereafter it is feeded automatically. Pouch passes through heated region and gets laminated. Back roller applies pressure on the pouch and takes it outside of the pouch laminator.
