Pouch Laminator
Pouch laminator is used to make a both side laminated item. We use thermal films for pouch lamination as it has property to make laminate when temperature is applied under pressure. We keep heat sensitive side in contact with the media. Pouches lamination process is also done on items, which are already one side laminated. Some pouch lamination defects are very serious and can not be used.
Structure of pouch laminator
Structure of machine is defined as per pouch laminator specification. It has three main segments.
- Feed rollers
- Heat source
- Pull rollers
Feed rollers are mounted on the front side of pouch laminator. These are made of rubber and have some very small gap between them. Both rolls move with the same speed applying some force on each other. When pouches touch the gap between feed roller, they start feeding the same inside pouch laminator.
Now the pouch moves automatically and comes in the zone of heat source. Due to effect of heat and pressure, heat sensitive laminating film laminates with the pouch. During further movements pouch comes between pull rolls, which are mounted in the backside of the pouch laminator. It works to apply contact and rotating force on pouch to come outside. These also work to help in bond strength of the laminate as it is applied in the heated state.
